Not so small Frye

It was pretty cool, the first c-section I've shot since having one myself only 5 months ago (jeesh time flies). It was different this time, I don't really know how to explain it.. Sort of surreal. Its has a more emotional impact when you know how it feels first hand, laying there nervous about not doing things "the natural way", hidden behind that blue curtain, going against what you thought you had planned (btw, get over planning, you're a parent now, that ish isn't real anymore, haha) ... Some people think it takes the beauty away from birth, I, I think it adds to it.. Getting cut in half, almost not quite but literally lol, really hinders you, I mean hell, you can barely walk... but it really shows you how capable and strong you are as a women... You couldn't stop me from getting up to see my baby, even if that meant a 1/4 mile walk to the NICU, although you could have probably gotten a similar result with a piece of cheesecake but whatever.

This whole time we thought Maverick was going to be a #SmallFrye but a few weeks before he was due he was already tipping the scales at 9lbs, plus he wasn't coming out on his own, apparently after already being 11 days late -- although who can blame him!!! So doc made a change in plans and off to the OR we went!! :)

Sweet man arrived with a squeal, or maybe that was dad's... Idk, both were pretty happy though ;) He was perfect, all 9 pounds 11 ounces of him .. I was/am so thankful to be a part of such life changing, EPIC if you will, moments in peoples lives.. It's been pretty amazing watching these two go from saying I DO to welcoming their first beautiful (BIG) baby into this world... I can't wait to see what else the universe holds for this awesome family, but whatever it is, I'll be there to capture it. :)
